Banged up Giants’ defense to get boost this weekend with return of Boley, Canty

A Giants defense that was flying high prior to their sudden three-game skid will receive an upgrade this week.

Linebacker Michael Boley will return after missing the last four games with an injury, as well as defensive tackle Chris Canty who will help fill in the holes up the middle. The two players participated in light drills last week but should carry the load and prepare for a return this weekend. Under new defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan, the defense has allowed more points in the past three weeks since the 1970’s. We’ll see how this plays out this weekend against San Diego.
